We are happy and proud to announce that the Officer Down Memorial Ride 2027 has found a host. Blue Knights Hungary III will organise the event and invites everyone to Kalocsa, Hungary, from April 23 to 25, 2027.
The date was chosen with care: April 24 is also Hungary's National Police Memorial Day – a fitting setting for a ride that each year honours colleagues from police, fire services, and emergency medical services who were injured or killed in the line of duty.
Kalocsa lies in southern Hungary on the banks of the Danube, in Bács-Kiskun county, about 120 km south of Budapest – known for its baroque cathedral, its traditional paprika cultivation, and the intricate Kalocsa folk floral painting and embroidery.
The weekend's program already has a solid outline: after arrival on Friday, Saturday brings a memorial service and motorcycle blessing at Kalocsa Cathedral, followed by an escorted ride to the police headquarters of Tolna county in Szekszárd, with a welcome by the chief of police and a wreath-laying ceremony in honour of fallen colleagues. The evening continues at the BK Hungary III clubhouse with traditional Hungarian food and drinks. On Sunday, after breakfast, escorted rides to the main connecting routes will be offered for the journey home.
Hungarian, German, and English will be spoken on site. Any surplus from the event will be donated to a Hungarian police charity organisation.
All further information – programme, accommodation, and registration, as soon as it becomes available – will be kept up to date on the official ODMR website:

We look forward to a dignified and unifying weekend in Kalocsa – Ride with Pride!
